| Suggested Pre-Referral Evaluation and Management Guidelines |
Manage with pain medication until the appointment. Patients in extreme pain should go the Emergency Department to be evaluated.
May be seen by Family Medicine if stone is <5 mm

| Suggested Additional Test/Management Prior to Specialty Visit |
KUB, stone protocol CT or IVP to identify where stones are within 1 week.
