Suggested Pre-Referral Evaluation and Management Guidelines Manage with pain medication until the appointment. Patients in extreme pain should go the Emergency Department to be evaluated.

May be seen by Family Medicine if stone is <5 mm
Suggested Additional Test/Management Prior to Specialty Visit KUB, stone protocol CT or IVP to identify where stones are within 1 week.
