Ureteropelvic Junction /Kidney Obstruction
Suggested Pre-Referral Evaluation and Management Guidelines
1)Placement of a stent or Nephrostomy tube for pain or severe blockage.
2)Antibiotics if infection is possible.
Suggested Additional Test/Management Prior to Specialty Visit CT, MRI, or US that demonstrates obstruction
Patient Education/Information (includes preps)  
Appointment Timeframe Uncontrollable pain: Emergency Department

Controllable pain: within 2 weeks

Without pain: within 4 weeks
