Print This Page     Close Window Consult Request Guidelines for Seborrheic Dermatitis     Seborrheic Dermatitis Suggested Pre-Referral Evaluation and Management Guidelines 1) Antiseborrheic shampoos such as zinc pyrithione, ketoconazole or selenium sulfide. 2) Above shampoo(s) plus for face: hydrocortisone 2.5% cream and/or 2% ketoconazole cream and for scalp: fluocinolone acetonide 0.01% solution 3) Additional information Suggested Additional Test/Management Prior to Specialty Visit An evaluation by the referring physician is required prior to referral. UMHS does not consult on untreated seborrheic dermatitis.
