1) Stiff soled shoes
2) Wider toe box shoes
3) Carbon Fiber insole (orthotic)
Suggested Additional Test/Management Prior to Specialty Visit
None
Patient Education/Information (includes preps)
1)
Joint replacements for the 1st MTP (great toe) are not successful and will not be performed.
2)
A cheilectomy (removal of the "bump") or fusion can be performed to alleviate the pain.
