Evaluate for alcoholism, peripheral neuropathy, bowel or bladder dysfunction/incontinence, change in cognition, radiculopathy, weakness, consider HIV risk
History of cerebral palsy, polio, CVA
Family history of neurological disorders
Suggested Additional Test/Management Prior to Specialty Visit
Consider TSH, T4, B12, folate, CBC, WESR, LFTS, fasting glucose, Hgb A1C, renal function and other tests of peripheral neuropathy, HIV
Geriatric patients with cognitive changes and incontinence, consider head CT
